Services
We provide the helping hand when you need
assistance.
Major concerns may include:
- What are my options?
- How do I pay for needed services?
- Can I avoid spending all that I have
saved?
- Should I re-title or transfer assets?
There are numerous options available; it’s
just a matter of choosing which is best for you.
We will analyze your particular situation,
explain strategies for your consideration, then
implement your plan of action. We will prepare
the Medicaid application, and accompany you when
the application is submitted. We will handle
communications with the Family Support Division
to expedite eligibility for benefits, and
follow-up on any issues that may arise.
The Basic Documents
Durable Power of Attorney
allows you
to appoint one or more individuals of YOUR
choice to make decisions and carry out specified
activities on your behalf.
Advance Healthcare Directive
allows
you to express your wishes regarding healthcare.
It is the document by which you choose what
life-prolonging procedures are to be withheld or
withdrawn. This document includes the
appointment of someone you choose to make sure
your wishes are honored by the healthcare
provider. This is commonly referred to as a
Power of Attorney for Healthcare.
Revocable Living Trust
does a number
of things. You can avoid the probate of assets
that are transferred to the trust. You can
retain full decision-making authority as long as
you choose, or until you become incapacitated.
You select who you want to manage your trust
assets and affairs. This document is very
beneficial when you want to leave assets to a
child or grandchild who is a minor, or suffers
from a legal disability. The trust document is
customized to fulfill your particular needs.
Privacy is also protected.
Will governs distribution of assets
owned by you at your death. If you use the Will
as the document to transfer assets, you do not
avoid probate. A Will is often used in
conjunction with other estate planning
documents.
Networking
Even the most dependable family members
seldom fulfill all demands required of a
caregiver. Finding good, reliable community
support is the key to a successful plan. There
are a number of healthcare providers and
businesses that can be hired to provide
assistance. Allow us to use our experience in
this field to assist you in finding quality
service providers to meet your needs.
First
Step
We recognize that our clients face many
decisions regarding their personal and financial
independence. We provide information and
guidance to help families make their own best
choices, and the technical expertise to see that
those choices are honored.
The most difficult step is frequently the
first one. Too often individuals wait until
there is a crisis. This often limits options and
may prevent implementing a plan that is best for
you and your family. We pride ourselves on our
ability to provide our clients and their
families with high quality, personalized service
in a cost-effective manner.
